October half term
Monday 22nd October for 1 week, returning on Monday 29th October. The funded children are off this week.
 
Ofsted Inspection
Thank you to all parents who spoke to the inspector, she was impressed with the comments. Well done everyone.
 
Pre School Stay and Play:
Friday 12th October 9.30am – 11am
Friday 23rd October 9.30am – 11am
All parents are welcome to come and see what their child gets up to during the day.
 
Contact Details
Please ensure that nursery is up to date with your contact details, this is vitally important.
 
Security Alert
Please ensure that parents are not allowing anyone else to enter the building without scanning their finger print.
 
Calpol
Could all parents make sure they have supplied Calpol for their child.  This need to be given to Gill or Zoe in the office.
 

Our Staff and what they do

Some of our staff have extra responsibilities, here is what they are.

Leanne in the baby room is responsible for overseeing all our first aid (all staff are paediatric first aid trained)  She is a member of Saint John Ambulance and is trained in first aid at work.

Michelle is our nursery SENCO (Special Educational Needs Co Ordinator). She is responsible for all our children who may need additional support.

Alison is responsible for Phonics

Charlotte in toddlers is our Communication Champion, and is responsible for the communication of all the children.

Dates for the diary

MacMillian Coffee Morning
Friday 28th September is our Coffee Afternoon.  All parents and families are welcome to come for a coffee and a cake.  The children will be baking, and we will be raffling off a special cake made by our cook Jess. Raffle tickets will be on sale during the week.

Diwalli
Wednesday 7th November is Diwalli.  We will be making lamps to celebrate the festival of Light.

Christmas Photos
The photographer will be in nursery on Tuesday 20th November in the morning.  Please make arrangements with Zoe if your child is not usually in on this day.

Parents Evening
Wednesday 21st November between 6pm and 8pm.  Please make an appointment with your child’s key worker.

Christmas Jumper Day
Friday 14th December is Jumper Day.  £1.00 donation and everyone to wear Christmas Jumpers.

Christmas Party
Friday 21st December 10.30- 12.30.  All the children are invited.

Christmas Closure
We will close on Friday 21st December at 6pm.  We will NOT be opening on Monday 24th December (Christmas Eve)  We will open again on Wednesday 2nd January at 7am as normal.
